Weytronik Becomes Keiron Technologies’ First Launch Partner for Digital Solder Paste Printing in Germany

Weytronik GmbH has become the first launching partner in Germany for Keiron Technologies’ digital, stencil-free solder paste printing technology, following the placement of an order with Keiron Technologies and its German distributor, smartTec GmbH. This collaboration marks an important milestone in the industrial adoption of fully digital solder paste deposition.
The introduction of LiFT printing technology addresses fundamental shifts in electronics manufacturing. Ongoing component miniaturization—where an average PCB now contains around 80 percent chip components—combined with increasing intelligence requirements and growing BGA complexity, is driving the need for higher precision, flexibility, and process stability. Digital, contactless solder paste printing opens the door to new industrial segments and demanding applications that are no longer optimally served by traditional stencil-based processes.
In 2025, Weytronik initiated a strategic transformation to expand its specialization toward complex, high-reliability applications across multiple industries, including aviation, defence, industrial electronics, and medical technology. According to Holger Hanssen, Managing Director of Weytronik, the decision to adopt Keiron’s technology was driven by a combination of strategic positioning, quality improvement, and economic considerations.

By eliminating stencil printing from the process flow, the LiFT printing approach significantly increases First Pass Yield and overall process quality.
