Software Engineer TwinCAT3
Job overview
As a Software Engineer TwinCAT3, you will be part of the Software Engineering team and take primary ownership of PLC and motion control software development using Beckhoff TwinCAT3. You will work closely with colleagues across Software Engineering, System Integration, and Service & Support to design, build, and maintain the control software that powers our LIFT printing system.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain TwinCAT3 PLC/motion control software for our printing system. Responsibilities include commissioning and tuning of motion controllers, as well as design, implementation, and maintenance of test and production software.
- Software Testing: Perform unit testing and on-target testing to ensure the software meets the high-quality standards our customers expect.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Demonstrate a proactive attitude in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, and contribute innovative solutions to improve existing processes.
- Project Ownership: Take responsibility for the end-to-end execution of your work streams. Ensure deliverables are on time, within scope, and of high quality.
- Team Collaboration: Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. Share knowledge, communicate effectively, and foster a positive and productive team dynamic.
- Commissioning & Integration: Support commissioning of equipment and system integration activities together with the System Integration team.



Qualifications
- A minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–8 years of relevant work experience (medior level).
- Proficient in Beckhoff TwinCAT3 — this is a must-have for this role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Dutch.
- A proactive attitude, combined with the ability to identify problems and contribute innovative solutions.
- A deep commitment to taking ownership and responsibility for your work.
Highly valued additional qualifications include:
- Experience with C# development for high-tech or embedded systems.
- Experience in field service.
- Experience in new product introduction (NPI).
- Background in a high-tech or deep-tech startup/scaleup environment.
